Are the cards automatically sent to my address?
No, you'll receive a debit card, but you must request it. If you don't follow the procedures below, you won't receive a debit card.
You can request up to 2 debit cards through your bank website, for 23,50€ each.
How do I apply for my cards?
After you registered yourself on the Millennium BCP website by following this guide, with your User code (it's on your email) and Multichannel code (you've received it via SMS), that you'll receive after NIB attribution.
Make sure you have your phone (the number registered when you opened the account) at hand, you will need it.
On the top right of the page, you'll either go in Login (insert your User Code there, and click "OK") or click on Homebanking (User Code and "Continue"), where you may receive an SMS code, insert it and follow along with the Ok or Continue button.
After, on the pink menu on top, head to "Cards". It opened? Go to "Apply", and then right below to click on "Apply for a Card".
Scroll and select the one for your account: "Prestige Débito" Card (Débito means Debit). Click on "Apply".
Now you'll fill the application form: Insert the name you want on your card, choose how to receive the PIN, mail or SMS (mail is free, but it takes a bit longer - weeks maybe, SMS you'll need to pay 10€ but you'll have it immediately). Agree to Terms and Conditions and click on "Apply" or "Submit".
After that you'll have to wait for your pin to arrive.
Again if it's by mail (mail to the address registered when opening your account) it may take weeks, SMS will be minutes, choose wisely according to your needs.
Pin arrived? You'll need it now. At the Millenium website, after logging in, go to the Pink menu again, head to "Cards" and then click on "Manage". There you'll click "Confirm PIN Reception". Select the card that you requested, confirm the PIN reception and insert the pin when asked.
Now, back to the wait time for the card itself to arrive. It may take weeks, 3-4 commonly, longer depending on your country location. Also, just reminding, it will go to the address provided when opening the account.
Card arrived? Let's go back to the site, login again, Pink Menu once more and head to "Cards", click on "Manage" and this time you'll go to "Confirm Card Reception". Select the card requested and enter the information it will ask.
All done? You're ready to spend your money!
You can also apply for it via phone, you must call the national landline (contact Millennium bcp support). Make sure you have all your information with you, such as user code, multichannel code, Portuguese NIF and your country's fiscal number.
After the contract is settled (when doing at a distance you won't need to sign documents, just accept Terms and Conditions), the payment of the card issuing fee can (and will) be taken from the value present at your account.
If you request a digital card, it will be available at your bank mobile app, with its full information (Card number, expiration date and CVV).
