A couple of days after the bank issues you a NIB (account number), it will also give you a Multichannel Code via SMS and your User Code via email (These codes are essential for your internet transactions with the bank, so keep them safe!). You'll need them and your mobile phone to complete the access.
Phone must be the one provided when registering your information when opening your account.
Steps to follow:
1. Download the App
You must download the Millennium BCP app on your application store of preference.
Make sure the app has the PT on the upper right - this will indicate it is the Portuguese branch.
After it's downloaded you can open the App.
2. Select authentication mode
Once your account is already available (you've been issued the codes and your NIB), click on 'I'm already a customer, take me to the App!'.
It's at this point that you'll need your Multichannel Code and your User Code at hand, as you must select 'With User and Multichannel Code'.
3. Choose your PIN
You must choose a 4-digit Pin and select 'Continue'. Choose wisely as this will be your "passport" to access your account on your phone.
You'll then be requested to insert your User Code (received via email, as we said in the beginning. If you can't find it, check the spam box. If it's still not there, get in touch with Millennium bcp support). Make sure you insert it clearly with no typos or space between the code. Click 'Continue', as you finish.
4. Enter the code
You'll need a bit of attention. Time to use the Multichannel Code, again this must have been received via SMS on the phone provided when you applied for your bank account (contact Millennium bcp support if you haven't received it).
The app will request 3 positions of your code. What does that mean? Basically let's say your code is 4327659, the app will indicate the numbers 2, 6 and 9. 2 is the 3rd number, so you put 3. 6 is the 5th number, so you put 5. And 9 is the 7th number, so you put 7.
This request will always be randomised.
All set? Click on 'Continue'.
5. Setting the final details
This is the last step before you can fully use your app: Authorization! Choose to authorise the app to use Face ID or Touch ID (if you want to, and you'll need to accept the Terms and Conditions) and to enable notifications (if you want, as well).
After that, another authorization to conclude the process: you'll receive an SMS code (phone number registered! Don't forget that), insert it and 'Continue'.
