How to complete the last steps of your NIE application.

Once your Power of Attorney (POA) has been generated and signed, a few simple additional steps are required by the Spanish government before we can proceed with your NIE application.

Final Requirements for Your NIE Application

In accordance with Spanish law, for our legal team to successfully request your NIE on your behalf, they must have in their possession the following on the day of your appointment:

  • A notarized Power of Attorney, legalized and bearing an apostille.

  • A certified copy of your passport, also with an apostille.

Step 1: We'll Book Your Online Notary Appointment

Once you’ve uploaded your information and documents, we will automatically book and pay a notary appointment for you. Once the call confirmed you will receive an automatic email confirming the appointment and asking for prior identity verification. Our partner will guide you through the process of notarizing your POA and certifying your passport.

Step 2: Verify your identity

Please follow the instructions provided in the email from our partner to complete your identity verification prior to the appointment.

Step 3: Join the Appointment

On the scheduled date, join the appointment from the comfort of your home. During the session:

  • The notary will review, notarize, and certify your documents.

  • Your documents will then be legalized with an apostille as required by Spanish law.

  • After the appointment, the notary will take care of mailing the original document to our lawyer's office in Spain.
