How to complete the last steps of your NIE application

Updated over 8 months ago

Once your Power of Attorney (POA) has been generated and sent to you, and you have downloaded it, a few additional steps are required by the Spanish government before we can proceed with your NIE application.

Final Requirements for Your NIE Application

In accordance with Spanish law, for our legal team to successfully request your NIE on your behalf, they must have in their possession the following on the day of your appointment:

  • A notarized Power of Attorney, legalized and bearing an apostille.

  • A certified copy of your passport, also with an apostille.

How to Obtains the requirements?

To obtain these documents, you have two options:

Option 1: Use an online notary.

We recommend this option for its convenience and speed, though it may be slightly more expensive.

Option 2: Go to a local notary.

Alternatively, you may choose to visit a local notary in your area and then obtain the necessary apostille in your country. Typically, notarial services cost around 50 euros per document, with apostille processing costs varying by location.
